Our Application Process

Applications are holistically evaluated using five primary sources of information:

• Attendance
• Current grades
• Transcripts of previous school attendance, courses completed, and grade performance over time with a priority on math and reading skills
• Teacher / Counselor recommendations
• Completed Google Form, including questions about what skills/knowledge will you bring to the program.

Program Requirements

The program follows an A/B block schedule and has the additional classroom responsibilities of a Humanities Class. Students may acquire credit at an accelerated rate at A&H because students can take 8-9 classes per semester:

• 2 classes at his/her home high school or 1 block at LSW
• 5-6 classes at A&H with an optional study block class plus
  1 Humanities class

• Explain why are you applying to the Arts & Humanities Focus Program. Why do you think this program is for you?
• Tell us about you! How would you describe yourself? What are your passions and interests?
• What additional information is important for us to know about you?
